Having a particular skill and interest in dance music from around the globe, Guy Schalom is often called upon to add additional ethnic percussion to many sound recordings he works on.
His extensive and continued research and development within world music gives Guy a unique and detailed insight into the percussive worlds of:

- North Africa (bendir, Moroccan castanets, riq)
- Jewish Music: Sephardi / Klezmer / Mizrachi (poyk, darabuka);
- Eastern Europe (doba, baraban, gochsh, poyk)
- The Middle East (darabuka/Egyptian tabla, frame drums, daf, riq)
- Ireland (bodhran, spoons)
- Modern Euorope (PanArt Hang YuDiao)
